Melanie Wengle is a Partner and Licensed Insolvency Trustee with the Insolvency & Restructuring practice of Farber Financial Group.

Her practice focuses on personal, corporate and owner-managed business insolvency and restructuring. She also provides solutions to business owners with tax debt problems, and works closely with other professionals to help their clients solve debt problems.

Melanie was promoted to Partner on January 2012.

Melanie joined Farber Financial Group in 2000. Prior to becoming a Licensed Insolvency Trustee she practiced as a lawyer specializing in commercial litigation.

Melanie is also active in management of the Firm’s Personal Division, supervising staff in more than 50 offices. Melanie is responsible for streamlining acquired insolvency practices into the Personal Division. Melanie also serves as the division’s lead on technical insolvency and legal issues.

In addition to being a licensed Trustee in Bankruptcy, Melanie is also an active member of the Law Society of Upper Canada (LSUC) and taught the Insolvency section of Business Law for the Bar Admission Course. Also she has instructed through LSUC for their 6 Minute Debtor Creditor programme. Melanie also has presented at the Annual CAIRP Insolvency Forum.

Melanie combines her legal and insolvency knowledge when representing the firm in court in dealing with insolvency matters in all areas of the firm’s administration, including complex court hearings.
