Erez Cukierman has been helping people with their personal finances since 1997. He began his career at a major Canadian financial institution as a financial advisor for both retail and private banking clients. In 2009, Erez began specializing in insolvency and restructuring at a consumer practice firm and gained further experience working at a national accounting firm in their corporate recovery and reorganization group. In 2014, Erez joined A. Farber & Partners as a Licensed Insolvency Trustee where he can practice in both the consumer and corporate arenas.

Throughout his career, Erez has prided himself on providing sound advice to people by making strong connections and always looking at the bigger picture. Erez’s hands-on involvement in both the corporate and consumer practices are fundamental in finding solutions for the self-employed and people with complex financial problems.

In addition to his work within the consumer practice, Erez’s corporate experience spans various sectors, including, retail, construction, advertising, manufacturing, hospitality, financial institutions, real estate, and technology. He has acted as a private and Court-appointed receiver as well as a private and Court-appointed monitor under the CCAA (Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act).

Erez also volunteers with the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals (“CAIRP”) and is on a committee which reviews and makes recommendations to the memorandum of understanding between CAIRP and the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy Canada.

Erez is a graduate of York University (with an Honours degree in Economics and Political Science), is a Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Practitioner and a Licensed Insolvency Trustee in Canada. He is married and has two young children and enjoys spending time with his family.
