Bankruptcies in Kirkland Lake
Kirkland Lake is known for two things: gold and excellent hockey players. It is considered one of the few towns in the world that was truly built on gold. And for the past few decades, the town has been teeming with miners and surprisingly good hockey players, which made the town deserving of the nickname "Hockeytown". Unfortunately, ever since World War II, the town’s population has steadily decreased. From 26,000, the down to 8,493. Last year, four mining companies declared bankruptcy in Ontario and two more proposed for filing. The number of companies might seem small, but it is alarming. In Ontario, there are only around 76 or more mines. That count includes mines that were already closed. In Kirkland Lake, only three or more companies are still in operation, including Kirkland Gold. Nevertheless, A. Farber and Partners are here to support residents of Kirkland Lake residents. In the event of bankruptcies and any financial difficulties, the people of Kirkland Lake can rely on our team for dependable and commendable assistance.
