Rachel is a Debt Solutions Manager in Farber’s Vancouver office. She brings a wealth of personal experience as an entrepreneur to her role. Through direct experience with the challenges of running a small business, Rachel is well able to empathize with the emotions created by financial challenges, while being able to find solutions to resolve personal and business debt.
Rachel’s career in the insolvency industry began shortly after graduating from university when she joined a national consulting firm as a Bankruptcy Analyst. After three years with the firm Rachel decided to pursue her dream of running her own design business. She gained valuable business experience during her six years as an entrepreneur. During this time, Rachel realized that most people will eventually face a life changing event that will have a substantial impact on their finances and possibly result in unmanageable debt. Rachel decided to return to the corporate world and joined a private equity firm in 2017. A few years later the pandemic hit. While still employed, but stuck at home, Rachel had time to reflect on what she really enjoyed doing…helping people. Consequently, Rachel decided to return to the insolvency industry and joined Farber in 2020.
Rachel is currently enrolled in the Core Knowledge Course of the Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP) Qualification Program, as she pursues her Licensed Insolvency Trustee designation.
