Position Summary

The firm is seeking a Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT) or a candidate currently enrolled in the CIRP Qualification Program (CQP). The successful candidate will be providing support to the leader of the Asian Practice. This individual should be proactive and passionate about their contribution to the firm. The individual must be fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin verbally (written fluency would be a strong asset) and fully fluent in English.


Major Responsibilities 

  • Assist with growing the existing Asian practice in the Toronto and Vancouver areas

  • Perform assessments in Toronto and Vancouver and future satellite offices
  • Conduct Initial meetings

  • Provide technical / file support to the Asian practice team

  • Share responsibility for supporting the Asian practice

  • Accept new estate filings under your LIT number, if applicable

  • Other management duties as assigned, from time to time



  • High School Diploma

  • Post-secondary College or University education, with strong emphasis on business is preferred

  • Completion or registration in the CIRP Qualification Program (CQP)



  • 5 years of related office experience in a fast-paced environment


Knowledge, Skills and Ability 

  • Excellent verbal proficiency in Mandarin and Cantonese (written proficiency would be an asset)

  • Fluency in written and verbal English

  • Prior demonstrated customer service experience

  • Ability to demonstrate maturity and responsibility, as dealing with sensitive situations and information

  • Ability to work independently

  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize workloads and multi task effectively

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to connect with clients, staff and other third parties

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), with the ability to learn other software quickly where required, such as Ascend

  • Prior experience in the Insolvency industry would be considered an asset
