Will my bankruptcy be made public?
Generally, only creditors are notified if you go bankrupt and the majority of bankruptcy filings are not advertised. Your employer will only have to be notified if the Trustee is required to stop a garnishment of your wages.
If your assets available for distribution to creditors exceed $15,000, the Trustee is required by law place a notice in the newspaper.
